Hmm.  See, this is why I have a love-hate relationship with Korra (well, I don’t hate it - hate is too strong of a word - but you get what I mean).  It is definitely an interesting society, but I liked how in Avatar: The Last Airbender I was able to get away from complicated politics like the ones in Korra (I am not big on politics and feel like I have to deal with them enough in real life).  It was kind of like a hybrid between a regular kids show and an anime, going into more depth than in your usual Nicktoons, but not too much.  Korra watches a bit too much like an anime, and while I understand why they made it grow with the original audience, part of me still misses my kids show where I could escape from complex politics.  It is good, but very different, and I’m not sure how I feel.  Maybe I wouldn’t feel this way if I hadn’t also seen TLA and didn’t have the expectations that I did coming in.  Still, it is a good show and I am enjoying it and watch it when new episodes come out, but I don’t feel as excited as whenever a new episode of TLA would air.
